Good plans, slow delivery

I bought one of their 3 Bedroom House Plans. The plan itself seems really solid and well-detailed, which is good. It included all the sections I needed to show my builder for a quote. I did find the download process a little clunky; it wasn't as instant as I'd hoped, and took about an hour to get the link, which was a minor inconvenience. Overall, good value for the price.

Yeah, I got a narrow lot plan from them a few months ago. It was pretty quick, like, digital files came through almost right away after I paid.

Mine took a couple days to get the final version after I confirmed a small customization. But the initial files were super fast, like the other person said.

Are these plans actually legit for building in Australia? Like, will my local council in Brisbane even look at them or will I need a whole new set drawn up?

From my experience, yeah. They're designed to meet Australian building codes. Still need to get local council approval, obviously, but the plans themselves are fine as a starting point.

They're meant to be compliant for Aus standards, but you'll always have to get a local engineer to sign off and make sure it fits your specific site and council rules, especially with stuff like bushfire zones etc.

How do these compare to Drummond House Plans or Eplans? Are they similar quality or better/worse for the price?

I've looked at Drummond and Eplans, and I'd say Australianfloorplans is a good middle ground. Often more practical layouts than Eplans, and a bit more affordable than some Drummond plans, but still good quality.

For the price, Australianfloorplans is really good value. Drummond can get pricey, and Eplans has a massive selection but sometimes it's hard to find one that's truly 'Australian' standard without modifications. These guys are focused specifically on that, which is a plus.

My builder actually mentioned that the design was pretty efficient, less waste and straightforward framing. So yeah, I think it definitely saved a bit compared to a custom design.

I think once you've got the digital files, it's a bit tougher. Definitely check their policy before you commit. Most places are like that with digital products.
